About Me
I was brought up in the remote north west Highlands of Scotland where I spent my days running about outside and playing football with my dogs! My competitive sporting background is endurance running. I spent 14 years taking part in road, track, cross country, and hill running in distances from 3K to marathon. In the last 10 years I have concentrated on weight training to build a bit more muscle.

Experience
I have worked in the health and fitness industry for 28 years. As well as leisure management, I have coached in a variety of sports including athletics, swimming, football, and weight lifting. For the last 13 years I have worked self employed as a personal trainer and helped hundreds of clients feel better, look better, and become their personal best!
Quality
I continue to study to make sure I offer the best possible service to my clients. Whilst most trainers stay at a Level 2 or 3, in 2017 I completed my Level 4 Qualification, specialising in Obesity and Diabetes Management. Nutrition plays a huge role in helping people achieve their goals, and it’s a subject I am very interested in. I am a qualified nutrition coach having studied through the Body Type Nutrition Academy.
Care
My attitude is not to ‘beast’ my clients. A hard training session can be given, but I take a sensible and considered approach to my personal training sessions. Clients need to stay injury free, enjoy training, be motivated, see progress, and be able to complete a sensible training plan each week. Being able to walk the following day is also important!
Support
Personal Training to me is a lot more than just that one or two personal training sessions. Renowned for my aftercare, my clients can contact me by text or email to make sure they don’t have any unanswered questions and to stay motivated through the week.
